No worries. Find My iPhone (free) will help you track down a lost or stolen Apple device, and the app is already on the device. If you have an iPad, iPhone 4, or 4th-generation iPod touch, you can activate Find My iPhone by going to Settings and selecting Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Once you’ve activated it on that device, you can also activate it on your other iOS 4.2+ devices, including the iPhone 3G and 3GS.
If you lose your device, launch the Find My iPhone app on another iOS device (or visit the MobileMe Web site), launch it, and sign in. You’ll see your device’s location on a map: Choose to have it display a message or play a sound, remotely lock the device, or permanently delete all of your data.
